  • Red Fox - (Vulpes vulpes)
  • Snow Leopard (Uncia uncia)
  • New to the Triple D, the Amur Leopard!!! (Panthera pardus orientalis)

Amur Leopards are the rarest subspecies of big cat on earth with only 30 - 35 individuals left in the wild. They are colored just like an African leopard, but they have longer fur more like a snow leopard. They are an amazing animal. They are found in the region of Amur and live in the same place as the Siberian (Amur) tiger.

Meet the Arctic Fox

Honey
Born in June of 2003, Honey is an Arctic fox with a very white, fluffy coat and beautiful honey-colored eyes. She is known for “howling” while we’re on site. In the future, we are hoping to photograph her with youngsters.Pictures provided by Lee Marin and Al Piecka

Tony

Tony was born in June of 2002. Even though he is not that old, we call him the “old man” because he’s not exactly speedy. However, Tony will give you good long poses and is a lot of fun to work with. Picture provided by Darren Charles Holloway

Meet our Red Fox

Kit

Born in April of 2006, Kit is Danny’s litter mate. Kit has developed into one of our most sedate foxes. Of all our foxes, he is one of our best posers because of his slow movements which are great for portrait shots. He also has a luxurious coat that looks and feels very soft. Always a good listener and willing to please, Kit has become a favorite to our repeat photographers. Picture provided by Rod Barbee.

Jessy

Born in April of 2008, Jessy is our first and only silver fox. Still young and very friendly, she has won over our hearts. Still in training, she is quickly learning how to pose, sit, leash, and go to a mark. The proud parents are Danny and Joey, both of whom are a cherry-red color (The silver fox is just a color variation of the red fox.). She is a beautiful little girl with her black and silver fur, although sometimes difficult to photograph due to her coloring. However, with the right background, when one does get a crisp shot of her, she is amazing. Picture provided by Lee Marin.

With his high energy, he provides some awesome leaps. Toby’s growth has been remarkable and may possibly reach 80 pounds. His favorite activity is stalking. Picture Provided by Lee Marin.

Meet our Bobcats

Captain Jack

Captain Jack was born in May of 2006 and is our most spotted bobcat. Because of his coloring, his coat is well-suited as camouflage against the rocks where he almost disappears. He is also quite patient and always waits on location until he is rewarded. Everyone who photographs him is impressed with his most unique attitude, as there is never a dull moment when he’s on site. Picture provided by Rod Barbee.

Betty

Born in May of 2007, Betty is a very spunky bobcat who aims to please. It is fun and always a photographic opportunity to catch her on film as she stalks our lures. Photographers are in for a treat in the summer of 2009, as we are hoping to work with Betty and a new litter of kittens. She’ll make a great mother! Picture provided by Hal Looney.

Dane
Dane, a curious little bobcat kitten, was born in May of 2008 and, although still in basic training, has shown expertise chasing lures and smacking around his toy ball. He is also very affectionate towards everyone and wins their hearts. Picture provided by Jim Ammons.

Dash (on left) & Dot (on right)

Born in April of 2007, these two snow leopards are brothers. They don’t enjoy working together as much as when they were little, however they do work extremely well by themselves. They are beautiful cats, very photogenic, and have an incredible stare. Few photographers pass on the snow leopards when visiting our facility. Picture provided by Rod Barbee.

Rose’s and Atticus’ birthday!

On January 15, 2009, Rose, our grizzly, turned 2 years old. The birthday party was celebrated with a large birthday cake that she devoured almost instantly! She must have known how special she looked in her birthday hat because she never took it off during her party!

Shortly after Rose’s birthday, we celebrated Atticus’ third birthday. His cake was made of replacement milk and beef heart! Yum!! At first, he didn’t know quite what to make of it but, within minutes, dove right in, licking it until it was gone.
